UC Kum: Helping Each Other
The theme of UC kum on September 17, 2010 was helping each other, presented by M Amin Samad, a theme that seems simple and very familiar, but often we do not understand the essence of help..
“Wa ta’awanu ‘alal birri wat-taqwa walaa ta’awanu ‘alal ismi wal ‘udwan: and please helping each other in the (only) virtue and piety, and do not please helping each other in sin and enmity (Al-Maidah: 2) ”
In life, we as social beings can not be separated from interaction with other beings, not all things we can do by our selves, must in a certain situation we need other people’s help ..
Often we give each other help easily in equally difficult or equally happy but if the situation turned around, where one position higher than the other, it will reduce to help each other. Need a better understanding of the nature of help ..
When we help others, we basically have planted the seeds of virtue and should not or should not we expect the people we help to someday repay the benefit of us because if we believe God will arrange everything with wonderful moments.
